Hello everyone!
There've been a couple of changes here at CT. First off, Analise has decided to leave us for a few RL reasons and has given mod-ship to Bethany (mun for Alistair, Ceara, Nick, Bea, and Shiloh) and Anna (Peter and Marie). We wish her well in whatever she does next.
Also we have a couple of plot ideas that we want to let you know about so that you can use them if you like.
Damion's agency is not the only one out there that is studying deities. There is another one, known only as Agency Veil. This is a government-funded beyond top secret project. They are not squeamish, whatever they think will get the job done, they'll do. NPC Kele O'Brien has been recently reassigned to this agency.
For an example of what this agency is capable of/some of its standard operating practices, see the plot threads dealing with Bea's disappearance.
Along with the agency, we have 3 books circulating around that explain how all the deities came to be in their present states ( supposedly). Possession of the books currently rests with Peter, Paul, and Damion.
Both of these two plot devices are able to be used by anyone.
Both mods encourage you to explore this sandbox. That includes getting out of "your" pantheon and talking to other deities - or even mortals. You might be surprised at what some of them know.
We also encourage ideas. If you have plotty ideas or something that you might like to see take place in game, please don't be shy about telling us! |

| New Mod |

Just a quick note: most of you know me, I'm the mun for Peter (Ogma) and Marie (Brigid). I'm helping out now as a mod. That means you can ask me game questions, plot questions (I promise to be suitably cryptic), and anything else your little blackened hearts desire.
Email is the best way to get an immediate answer from me. I am trying to cut down on IM time because things don't get done nearly as often that way.
Have fun! Don't do anything I wouldn't do!

So, you've got an opportunity here to direct the course of the game. There is currently some plotting in the works that should affect characters all over Chaos Theory:
- Damion Sorosin wants deity-types for his own nefarious purposes. He's already more or less ensnared Jack, David, Alainna, and Kari. He's working on Star and possibly Seth. He'd certainly like more. He's the owner of a major defense contractor running a secret project that involves the testing of various deity-types and trying to figure out what makes them tick with the ultimate goal (for him) of transferring a deity from someone into his own body. This will not work out the way he expects but he doesn't need to know that. Yet. The government thinks he's doing this to develop applications for use in the military. Which, he also is, but his side project seems to be getting people loyal to him, not the government.
- There's another government agency working on this in the shadows. We haven't heard much from them yet but they seem to have been around for a while. Some people who might not be missed much have been kidnapped off the streets of DC but so far everything is very hush-hush.
- There's also a couple of books floating around (one is owned by Damion and the other is in the possession of someone else [I forget who. *facepalm* Paul? Akana? Peter?]). These books speak of how the deities' downfall began and how they became what they are today. Word of warning though: they were written by a madman and may not be wholly accurate.
- And there is always the question of why everyone has shown up now, in this time, all in one place, something that hasn't happened...ever, most likely.
If you want to get involved? It's not that hard. But here's where you get to make a choice:
Are you interested in us mods creating and running game-spanning storylines that cover an arc to keep things moving?
Would you rather just run your own little storylines with no overall-game-spanning arc?
Note: even if there's a big game plot, that doesn't mean you can't do your own things, we won't force anyone to participate (that wouldn't be fun), but it would be nice if there was some direction to the game instead of everyone just sort of wandering around aimlessly.
So, go below, comment, tell us how you feel! If you've got ideas you want to explore, post those as well! |

While I give you the code with the right colors for the Profiles, you'll have to put in a link to the banner and fill in all the information yourself. Mostly because otherwise I will spend hours doing it :/. Anyway, if you need help, just IM me.
